High security level for sensitive documents
The DAHLE PaperSAFE® 260 is designed for users who need reliable destruction of confidential documents. This model shreds paper into 4 × 12 mm particles and complies with security class P-4. Up to 18 sheets (80 gsm) can be shredded at a time.
Security levels P-1 to P-7 define how finely documents are shredded and the confidentiality of the information. P-1 and P-2 are for general documents, P-3 is for internal information, P-4 is recommended for the destruction of personal data and complies with GDPR requirements, P-5 and P-6 are for highly sensitive data, and P-7 is used for highly sensitive information where the highest level of security is required. As the P level increases, the particle size decreases and the protection of the information increases, so the appropriate choice depends on the sensitivity of the data and the legal requirements. This classification is defined by the International Organisation for Standardisation and is therefore internationally applicable.
